New Creation Healing Center was started in 1992 in response to a call from God for Mary Pearson, DO, to minister to the whole person: body, mind and spirit.  She remembered how in the early days of the church Christians showed the love of Christ to the world by adopting abandoned babies and caring for the sick and wounded.  It seemed to her that this model, rather than today's purported business model, was the model that God would have us use in our dealings with other people.

Her husband, Canon Mark Pearson, had long been involved in Christian healing ministry.  He had been traveling around the United States leading healing missions in churches of various denominations and for such interdenominational ministries as the Order of St. Luke.  In 1990 he wrote the book Christian Healing: A Practical and Comprehensive Guide.  He later would go on to receive an earned doctorate in Christian Healing ministry from Boston University.

They have been blessed to see New Creation Healing Center grow by adding like-minded counselors, massage therapist, and a nurse practitioner - all whom love God and who desire to serve Him professionally as well as personally.  We look forward to the day when we can offer these modalities on an inpatient basis as well as an ambulatory one.

"Anyone who believes in Christ is a new creation. The old is gone! The new has come!  It is all from God. He brought us back to himself through Christ's death on the cross. And he has given us the task of bringing others back to him through Christ.  God was bringing the world back to himself through Christ. He did not hold people's sins against them. God has trusted us with the message that people may be brought back to him.  So we are Christ's official messengers. It is as if God were making his appeal through us. Here is what Christ wants us to beg you to do. Come back to God!  Christ didn't have any sin. But God made him become sin for us. So we can be made right with God because of what Christ has done for us."
